There are more than 300,000 child soldiers in the world (source AFP) |
|
More than 300,000 children under 16 years of age – 120,000 of them in Africa – recruited by force or volunteers – serve from as early as 7 years old, as soldiers in armed conflicts in the world. In Asia, in Africa, in Latin America and even with the doors of Europe, this problem became more and more extensive these last years. Our Association has been fighting since its creation in June 2000, to help these demobilized child soldiers for their better rehabilitation and integration into social and economic fabric of their country and to stop their exploitation and use in armed conflict. AIDC is not in competition with other Aid Agencies/Organizations, it has an open structure. Our aim is to fill in the gap and we are at the disposal of all partners interested in our work.
