3.  Projects and other activities:

Members of our Association carried out a technical mission to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), with an American NGO sponsored by USAID, to find out more about child soldiers in this country.

AIED is planning, with a local partner in DRC (PREFED), two pilot projects of rehabilitation and the reinsertion of children ex-soldiers in DRC. The first project was foreseen in the region of  Kinshasa and the second in Bukavu.

It was within this framework that the documents for the project were submitted in order to be sponsored by several prospective partners (National Assembly of France, General Council of Essonne in France, Belgium government, etc.).

Some prospective sponsors have already put at our disposal funds for activities in two programmes of action (Programme for awareness and projects in the field). We are awaiting further contributions for two pilot projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. (DRC).
